HOW TO REACH IREC FROM THE LOCAL AIRPORT
The local airport we recommend the Aerobus, is the shuttle bus service connecting the Airport with the centre of Barcelona leaving every 5 minutes, every day of the year. Them take the metro (see indications below).
In approximately 35 minutes the way go or back to either Airport Terminals T1 or T2, comfortably and economically, without having to change stations or stops. All of these vehicles are adapted for people with mobility problems, they also have a large area for luggage.
It is easy to identify the Aerobus stops because there is a big blue machine where you can buy tickets for the Aerobus.
Generally, there is always an Airbus waiting outside one of the terminals, if not, you will not have to wait more than 12 minutes until you get one.
Fares:
You can buy your ticket from the staff right inside the bus (only cash payments), at the automatic sales machines (payment by credit card). Encashment change up to 20 €.
Single ticket: 5,90 € : Valid for one person and his/her luggage and valid up to one hour after purchasing.
Return ticket: 10,20 € : Valid for person and his/her luggage. Valid GOING up to 1 hour after purchasing, and valid RETURN up to 9 days after purchasing. You must keep the ticket in order to exchange it for the return ticket trip.
By Metro
5 minutes’ walk from the Aerobus stop (at Barcelona Plaça Catalunya) to Urquinaona metro station and get off at “Maresme Forum” station (please view the road map), then walk 5 minutes from the metro station until IREC.
HOW TO REACH IREC BY TRAIN
The main Train Station of the city is Barcelona Sants. There you can take the metro L1 until Urquinaona and change to L4 to “Maresme Forum” station. There you just have to walk 5 minutes from the metro station until IREC (see pictures above)

By public transport
Plaça Catalunya is the center of Barcelona. The procedure to reach IREC from there is described above.
