HOW TO REACH MADRID FROM THE LOCAL AIRPORT (Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport)
Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport is located north-east of the city of Madrid. The airport is connected with the city center by public transport through several services. By Metro
The easiest way to reach Madrid downtown from the airport is by metro. L8 metro line connects the four terminals of the airport with Nuevos Ministerios train station where you can take a local train (lines C-4a and C-4b) to UAM Campus, where ICMM is located. By Bus

By Local trains
Lines C1 and C10 connects terminal T4 of the airport with Chamartín train station where you can take a local train (lines C-4a and C-4b) to UAM campus. Free shuttle buses between terminals T1, T2 and T3 and T4 are available at the airtport.

HOW TO REACH MADRID BY TRAIN
Madrid-Puerta de Atocha is located in the city center and is the main train station of Madrid. Trains connecting the main cities of Spain by AVE high-speed trains as well trains from some international destinations arrive at Madrid-Puerta de Atocha station. More information at www.renfe.com/es/en
HOW TO REACH ICMM-CSIC FROM MADRID DOWNTOWN
UAM campus, where ICMM is located, is connected with Madrid downtown by local train and suburban buses.
By Local train
This is the easiest and more usual way to reach UAM campus. Suburban train lines C-4a and C-4b connect Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartín and Atocha train stations (where metro, local train and express bus from the airport arrive, respectively) with UAM campus. The train station is Cantoblanco-Universidad. One way tickets are €1.70 and can be purchased at station ticket offices or Cercanías self-service machines.
