HOW TO REACH BESANCON BY PLANE :
There is no local airport in Besançon, and you will need to access via a major airport around:
Then by local train to Paris Gare de Lyon, then with a high speed train (TGV) to Besancon (2h40).
Then by car to Besançon (2h)
Then by car to Besançon (2h30)
Then by local train to “Lyon Part-Dieu” station then by train to Besançon (2h30) or by car to Besançon (2h30)
HOW TO REACH BESANCON BY TRAIN:
The most convenient trains arrive at “Besançon Viotte” station from Paris - gare de Lyon, Strasbourg, Lyon Part-Dieu, etc
(Take care there is another main station called “Besancon Franche-Comté TGV”, which is not connected by city bus to the lab, you will need first to take a local train “Besançon Viotte” station. Besançon’s third station, called “Besançon Mouillère”, has only local trains.)

HOW TO REACH ENL-FEMTO-ST BY BUS:
The city bus/tram network is called Ginko. It is rather frequent and convenient (L prefixed lines run during the night) and links the train station “Besançon Viotte” (with line L3) and the dowtown area (with line L3 and L6) to the “Pôle Temis” station located at 1 min from the cleanroom. You may directly use your credit card (or handphone with any pay app) as bus/tram ticket or buy a reusable card in the bus or at some bus/tram stops (1.4€ valid for 1h).

HOW TO REACH FEMTO-ST BY TAXI:
There are taxi at the train station and in the downtown area. Tell the driver to drop you at the “Pôle Temis” if “Institut FEMTO-ST” is unknown to him.
Note that taxis are expensive in France.
HOW TO REACH FEMTO-ST BY CYCLE OR WALK:
The city is not very large and a walk from the downtown area takes about 40 min.
The city is a bit hilly but cycling is convenient with cycling tracks linking the campus area to the downtown area. It takes less than 15min to get from downtown area to FEMTO-ST.
