Institute of Structure of Matter (ISM) covers the field of synthesis and characterization of materials with innovativetechnological applications, which are produced and studied in the ISM laboratories. The main focus is to investigate materials with potential application and use in the field of advanced opto-devices. ISM is involved in advanced theoretical and numerical developments in material science with particular emphasis on exascale computing and ultra-fast, out-of-equilibrium simulations.
