CNR-DSCTM
CNR-Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche e Tecnologia dei Materiali

CNR-DSCTM the Department of Chemical Science & Materials Technology is formed by eleven CNR Institutes that carry out both basic and applied research in all fields of the molecular sciences, chemical technologies and material sciences. Among these, four participante in NFFA-Europe:

ISSMC the Institute of Science, Technology and Sustainability for Ceramics (former ISTEC) is active in the field of research and development of new advanced-smart-ceramic materials, covering all activities ranging from design to prototype realization.

ISOF The Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity carries out interdisciplinary research on the graphene-based materials and composites, including design, synthesis, characterization and processing of functional materials and implementation in functional devices for energy storage, environmental remediation and biosensing.

IPCB The Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials covers all activities from design to production and characterization of polymer-based materials for applications in all the main European Societal Challenges such as Energy, Environment protection, Building and Health and Nanomedicine.

ICMATE The Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry and Technologies for Energy focuses the research activities in the strategic areas of advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, energy efficiency and sustainability, and nanomedicine by performing non-conventional synthesis, functional surfaces, and inorganic and metallic materials development, together with advanced characterization to investigate also their functional micro- and macroproperties.
